Is your Facebook page safe? Many businesses and organizations have incorrectly set up their business pages with a personal profile as their business. This is a violation to Facebook Term’s and Agreement. You cannot have a Personal Profile (i.e. with friends as a business) for any reason.

The admins of your business page must be REAL people with real names. Otherwise you run the risk of losing all of your accounts/pages for the business.

Facebook has recently started cracking down on these rules and people are being removed from their pages right and left. Please check your Business Page to ensure that you do not have it set up incorrectly.

#1) If you have a personal profile (with friends) for your business, it needs to be migrated and set up correctly. This process takes multiple steps to fix. Please contact us to set up a consultation so we can help you correct.

#2) Check the admins on your page. Go to your page and click “Edit Page” below your profile image. Click “Manage Admins” and look at the admins in the list. If you see a profile name listed that has your business name in it OR a ”Mystery Facebook Face” listed, you need to remove each admin and go back to #1.

***Before you remove, be sure to add your REAL personal profile as an admin. Type in your email you use to login to your REAL personal profile and click save. Once it refreshes you should see your picture. You will now access your business page from your personal profile. Don’t worry, no Private Information is shared being an admin of the public page.

Good Tips:

• Have a Back Up admin – add another employee or friend to your business
• Be careful who you add because any admin can remove any other admin and can also delete the entire page
